On April 9, 2026, the Joint Program in Survey Methodology (JPSM) hosted the 2026 JPSM Distinguished Lecture at the University of Maryland, College Park.
The event featured an engaging presentation on emerging approaches to understanding life trajectories and opportunities, with a focus on the role of population registries and artificial intelligence in advancing research. The lecture was followed by insightful remarks from invited discussants, a Q&A session, and a reception with faculty, students, and guests.
We extend our sincere thanks to our distinguished speaker, Matthew J. Salganik; the discussants, Amy O’Hara and Frauke Kreuter; and our students, faculty, and guests for contributing to an insightful and engaging event.
Recording and slides of this event will be available soon.
