JPSM Ph.D. Student Ujjayini Das receives the ASA 2026 Edward C. Bryant Scholarship

At the Joint Statistical Meetings (JSM) 2026) in Boston, the ASA President's Address and Awards Ceremony took place on Tuesday, August 4, 2026. ASA President Jeri Mulrow delivered the presidential address, and Ujjayini Das of the University of Maryland was honored as the recipient of the Edward C. Bryant Scholarship.

The Edward C. Bryant Scholarship for an Outstanding Graduate Student in Survey Statistics, endowed by Westat, grants $2,500 to an outstanding graduate student with exceptional academic performance and applied experience in survey statistics. It was presented during the awards ceremony immediately preceding the presidential address and the post-ceremony JSM Dance Party.

The 2026 Edward C. Bryant Scholarship was awarded to JPSM Ph.D. student Ujjayini Das.
